AWE Entertainment Presented.. "ONE WILL PREVAIL"
Saturday October 7th 2006
Tipton Sports Academy
Tipton, West Midlands
In the first match of the evening, Tommy Gunn defeated "The Sensational 1" Jason Fellows w/ a 450 splash. Tommy Gunn proved tough enough to overcome Fellows cheating ways and got the crowd hot with anticipation for the rest of the show.
Next, Big Richard Action came to the ring with his associate and participant in the Heavyweight Title tournament David Daniels. After some uncouth comments towards the fans in attendance, he was interrupted by "Star Man" Mark Clarke. Clarke defended the fans and had some tough words for Big Dick and company. However, it wasn't long before the "Star Man" was interrupted by "The Messiah" Brandon Thomas. It wasn't long before it became obvious David Daniels and Brandon Thomas had the same idea in mind, weakening one of the participants. Both men jumped the "Star Man" and began the onslaught. However, to the delight of the fans the Masked Inferno's music hit and he charged to the ring to make the save. After "Star Man" and the Inferno sent Daniels and Thomas running, Clarke proceeded to do an assisted plancha over the top rope onto the two men. Thomas and Clarke brawled to the back, whilst Daniels entered the ring and our next match was underway.
In the second match of the evening the Masked Inferno defeated and eliminated from the Heavyweight Title tournament David Daniels to the dismay of Big Richard Action when he used the Mullet Bomb followed by the Wild side for the pin.
Next, “The Messiah” Brandon Thomas faced “Star Man” Mark Clarke in the second and final first round match up. This was a back and forth contest which finally ended when Thomas managed to get the upper hand and hit the Crucifix for the three count.
*Intermission*
Returning from Intermission we opened up with a 6 - Man Tag Team match up. The match opened up with the Hunter Brothers and the "Violent NTT" Chris Hall presenting some Alpha Wrestling Evolution goodies to a close friend celebrating his 50th Birthday, Wallie. They also asked him to be their corner man for the match that night. He happily obliged. The Coal Miners and Jon the Yob tried to use their cheating tactics throughout but failed and were beaten when Wallie entered the ring and clocked Coal Miner P with his own hard hat followed by a roll-up by James Hunter.
Next up, it was "The Dark Angel" Carl Mizzery battling "Death Row" Shaun Langley (accompanied by Big Richard Action). Langley showed he clearly had the power advantage over Mizzery, yet it looked like Mizzery would prevail using his speed. Mizzery hit a huge frog splash from the top and it looked as if it was going to be over, until just before the three count Big Richard pulled the referee out of the ring. Mizzery, clearly enraged, pulled Big Dick up to the top rope and knocked him back down with a hard right hand thrust. However, before he could recollect himself he was spun around by Langley and hit by the Baldo Bomb for the win.
The next match saw the AWE debut of Worcester's own Nick Knight. This huge power house dominated the fan favourite Flash Williams with some devastating moves and even a huge splash. It looked like Flash was out until he managed to get the comeback and hit the top rope moonsault for the victory.
Up next was our main event, in which "The Messiah" Brandon Thomas would battle The Masked Inferno in the final round of Alpha Wrestling Evolution's Heavyweight Title Tournament. This would prove to be an amazing match, and possibly match of the night. At one point the two spilled over the railings and even battled through the fans. The loyal AWE fans followed the two around the venue until they battled back towards the railings and the Masked Inferno gave Thomas a devastating back drop over the railings in which Thomas was sent crashing into the ring apron. They battled back into the ring and Thomas soon gained the upper hand. It looked as if we would clearly have a new Alpha Wrestling Evolution Heavyweight Champion in "The Messiah" Brandon Thomas until he went for a huge top rope moonsault, yet the Masked Inferno managed to roll out the way. The crowd exploded and were heavily behind the Masked Inferno, now more than ever. The Inferno quickly capitalised and was able to hit the Wild side for the three count. The crowd exploded as both men lay exhausted. The referee handed the Masked Inferno the new Alpha Wrestling Evolution Heavyweight Title and his hand was raised. The fans electric. This was cut far too short though, as from nowhere "Death Row" Shaun Langley emerged and hit the Baldo Bomb on the new champion. Big Richard Action then entered the ring and announced at Alpha Wrestling Evolution's next show "BREAKOUT" on July 14th 2007 at the Tipton Sports Academy it would be the Masked Inferno defending his Alpha Wrestling Evolution Heavyweight title against "Death Row" Shaun Langley. The show ended with the cryptic image of Langley and Big Richard Action celebrating with arms rose in the isle way.
