Dark Match Battle Royale;

With 13 young up-and-coming wrestlers in this match, the action was thick and fast as each man wanted to make an impact. The match eventually came down to the masked Kid Lightning and the young thug, The Asbo Kid. Eventually, Kid Lightning managed to deliver an amazing hurricanrana that sent The Asbo Kid to the outside and won him the match, thus earning a chance to take on 'The Messiah' Brandon Thomas later on in the night.

After the battle royale, Thomas made his way to the ring, looking to get an early advantage by attacking Kid Lightning. However, much to the delight of the fans, the other competitors blocked his way to the ring and sent him running to the back.

Team Gunn (Tommy Gunn, 'Rowdy' Rob Long & James Hunter) def. Team Daniels (Dangerous David Daniels, Nick Knight & 'The Senational One' Jason Fellows)

In this explosive opening six-man tag, all six men did whatever it took to get the win for their team. Tommy Gunn even managed to lift the huge Nick Knight and deliver a thunderous superplex which had everyone on their feet. With both teams fighting all over the arena floor, back inside the ring Rowdy Rob Long delivered a Stunner to Fellows, which Gunn followed up with an a 450 splash for the win.

Before the next match, Santa Clause came to visit the Tipton Sports Academy! After telling the audience he had a gift for one special man in the back, he bought out Lee Hunter and offered him presents. However, Santa soon pulled out a golf club and his real identity was clear – the man behind the beard was none other than Big Richard Action. Lee Hunter managed to wrestle the club out of Richard's hands, but before he could use it on the cowardly manager, “Death Row” Shaun Langley stormed the ring and delivered the Death Sentence to leave Hunter lying.

The Violent NTT def. John the Yob

These two have been beating the hell out of each other since the very start of AWE, both determined to prove that they are the dominant hardcore wrestler, and at Rise and Fall, they finally settled it in a rough, tough and downright dirty Hardcore match. Both men used their strength and their weapons to try to gain the advantage, and at one point, they brawled all the way through the crowd and all over the Tipton Sports Arena. The Violent NTT managed to withstand everything John the Yob threw at him however, and eventually put him away following a gruesome spear through a table.

"The Messiah" Brandon Thomas def. Kid Lightning

After Kid Lightning was victorious in the Student Battle Royale, it was time to take on one of the big boys – and they don't come much bigger than “The Messiah” Brandon Thomas. Kid Lightning was already hurt and exhausted after going through 12 other young wrestlers earlier in the night, but he still gave it his all, using his speed and high-flying abilities to avoid the heavy offense of Thomas. “The Messiah” eventually managed to catch up with Lightning, and he used his experience, his size and his mean streak to put a beating on the masked youngster and finish him off with his trademark elbow drop.

The Coal Miners def. 2XL (Staxx & Carl Mizzery)

In a fantastic showcase for AWE's ever-growing tag division, the hated duo known as the Coal Miners managed to beat the charismatic team of Carl Mizzery & Staxx. 2XL put up a good fight, and looked sure to win it on more than one occasion, but after Coal Miner D hit Staxx over the head with the mining helmet, Carl Mizzery was left all alone in the ring. One Mine Shaft later, and the Miners were victorious.

"The Eagle Street Terrorist" Matt Clarke def. "Star Man" Mark Clarke

Former friends turned bitter enemies, these two arguably stole the show as both of them tried to outwrestle the other. Previously known as The Masked Inferno, Matt Clarke blamed “Star Man” for his AWE Championship loss, and set out to make him pay. Both men traded move after move, reversal after reversal and counter after counter in an attempt to come out on top, and it was obvious that they knew each others signature moves very well. Neither man would quit, and continued to kick out of everything they endured, until the end when, out of desperation, “The Eagle Street Terrorist” caught Mark Clarke in a roll-up and grabbed the tights for the cheap win.

Lee Hunter def. "Death Row" Shaun Langley to win the AWE Title.

In this battle of the ultimate fan favourite versus the unstoppable monster, the fans were on the edge of their seat as Lee Hunter's passion and heart went up against the brute force and unrivalled power of “Death Row” Shaun Langley. Langley dominated for the majority of the match, making an example out of Hunter and throwing him around the ring. It looked as though “Death Row” was about to put Hunter out of his misery with the Death Sentence, when suddenly the Number 1 Contender dug down deep and managed to amount one final comeback, culminating in Hunter coming off the top rope with a Splash to get the 3 count and become the new AWE Champion.
